Contacting the Dead

"I see dead people." Is that possible? Many people claim they have seen and talked with their dead loved ones. Some have made it their job to talk to the dead. But according to the Bible, is that really what’s going on?

• "When their spirit departs, they return to the ground on that very day their plans come to nothing" (Psalm 146:4).
• "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten" (Ecclesiastes 9:5).
• "When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?" (Isaiah 8:19).
