Q. I have a friend that I always accuse whenever she annoys me. I don’t do this with my other friends , even when they do the same thing. What should I do?

A. Sounds like you have the right idea about how to treat all your friends except this one. It’s funny how we tend to hurt those who are closest to us. Maybe it’s time to take a close look and see if there’s something that’s causing you to act that way toward her. Could you be mad at her about something that you haven’t gotten over or worked out together? Could it be jealousy or some other negative feeling that’s making you treat your friend that way? Or is she doing things on purpose to annoy you?

Whatever the problem is , you need to figure it out and then go to her and try to fix it. If necessary , tell her you’re sorry and ask for her forgiveness. And from then on try in every way to treat her as kindly as you do your other friends.

Friends are very special , and we should never hurt them if we can avoid it. We often don’t realize how valuable friends are until we lose them.
