A Prayer for Haiti
Hi, everyone. I was very saddened at the news of the big earthquake in Haiti this week. Ironically, my column in Guide magazine this Sabbath talks about earthquakes and how destructive they are. Please join me in praying for the people in Haiti:
Dear God, we're praying for the people of Haiti today—they are going through terrible suffering right now. These are Your sons and daughters that are experiencing devastation and pain. There are many things in this world that we don't understand, God, but I know that You see their tears and know their sadness. Please give them comfort. Many people are rushing to help the people in Haiti. Lord, keep them safe and give them the tools they need to serve these people, and give us the wisdom to do our part too. Amen.
